Virginia Visit

Road Trip – Days 20-22

After Baltimore we swung down to Blacksburg, VA, via Shenandoah to visit cousin Hattie and her parents 🙂 Jamey and Katharine.  It was a short two days, but full of cousin laughs and play.  We felt so lucky to see them twice in one month.

Berkeley loves little kids, luckily for Skye and Hattie.

Katahdin really likes to tie flies and Jamey helped him make some pretty neat ones.

Katahdin thinks its awesome that Jamey has a fly tying room.

Their porch swing is prefect for taking pictures on.  Its hard not to smile while swinging.

Everyone but Skye and I went on a hike to Falls Ridge Preserve to see a waterfall and cave.  Berkeley had the camera and took many many pictures of grass and clover flowers.  I wonder whose granddaughter she is?  I love to see what she thinks is picture worthy.

🙂

Snail.

Waterfalls.

Oh the swivel chair.  It was too much fun.  Three cousins at a time.  My kids want one.  Skye liked it as much as swinging.

The fairy house building was intense.  They made a three story fairy hotel inspired by large piles of sticks in the yard.

The fairy hotel – three stories!

Fairy beds and pillows and blankets. It is a hotel after all.

Fairy mop.

Berkeley and Hattie played Zoo for one morning.  We were all given tickets to attend the zoo.  It was lovely. Animals were well cared for and fed Bananagram letters.

The owlery. See their letter food in the red container?

The wild dogs got the cushy enclosure.

Name badges for the zoo keepers.

Can you believe this all happened in two days?  A little time goes a long way in cousinland.  Until next time.

Hattie has the such fun ideas.
