Road Trip – Days 13-16

After Niagara, we spent three days at Phil’s parents house – AKA Cookie and Pappy’s house in Darlington, PA.  A stop to Oram’s Donut Shop was a must.  They were all out of cake sprinkled donuts. Pappy saved the day and went super early the next morning and brought back a dozen sprinkle only.

Lego Display of inside donut shop.

Skye picks the Cinnamon Roll just like Daddy and Pappy.

“I have it?”

We took our bikes to the Beaver Cemetery. My mom would take us riding here as kids.  This is where I learned to love bike riding and trees.  My mom taught me the names of the trees.  I just love this cemetery.  Berkeley did great.  She can almost start all by herself.

Sweetgum.

Cookie took us on a walk at Brady’s Run Park to show us the maple syrup apparatus.  It was too close to nap time for Skye, but we walked about 30 min.  It was pretty.

Skye kept saying, “Walk by self” But would just sit there. Too tired to walk, but didn’t want a carry.

The little town next to Darlington is New Galilee.  We went to the New Galilee Carnival.  It was super small but fun.  We had more donuts if you can believe it.  They were fresh Amish made which is impossible to pass up.  They are better than Oram’s, which is saying a lot.

First solo amusement ride.  She loved it. Hopping Bunnies.

Second solo ride was Jumping Jetskis.  She was the only rider.

“The Avengers” ride was fun. Kids rode it three times.

Before, calm fairly excited….

During.  I was laugh crying.  they were the only ones fighting the squish effect.  Berkeley was pulling with all her might.  Neither enjoyed this ride at all.

Tame Dragon Coaster.

Kids got to practice their instruments and use the Pappy’s player piano.  Skye just loves to dance to any live music.  Good thing we brought a tutu and ballet shoes.  Practice time is dancing time.

Summer appropriate dance wear.
