Pine Creek Rail Trail – Berkeley Can Bike!

Road Trip – Days 5-10

Phil and I love biking.  We have road bikes and love taking bike rides alone or together with the kids on a bike path.  We have taken a hiatus from family rides for over a year since Berkeley became too big for the tag-along or trailer but still has training wheels that make her ride super slow.  We bought her a new bike with no training wheels and just told her this was the month to learn.  The time is now.  She finally learned to ride her bike this week at Cedar Run on the Pine Creek Rail Trail.  We are so proud of her. Phil did all the rider support and thinks he can patent his rope bike harness method. We can all ride again.  Its going to be a great summer!

For our first family ride, we started at Rattlesnake Rock Access and rode to Cedar Run ice cream shop.  How many miles is that anyone?  Berk fell once but got back on like a champ and rode on for the ice cream.

Berkeley on her first long ride without training wheels!

Wood turtle.

We saw two wood turtles.
