Biomes Marine Biology Center is an adorable private aquarium in North Kingstown. It is full of hands on exhibits, marine themed toys, and touch tanks. Walking through Biomes you get the distinct feeling that someone’s hobby has become their business and it makes you smile. They offer a monthly homeschoolers class on different marine topics. Their first class today was a huge success. The kids were able to touch several animals: sea star, horseshoe crab, spider crab, sea urchin, clam, and welk. Berkeley calls them “sea creatures” and the favorites were the video of the sea horse daddy releasing his babies and the live puffer fish puffing and then squirting out his water. Kids can not wait to go back.
